“Helping you achieve your goals in your business, is our goal in our business.”
Ross Pope LLP was founded in 1925 by George N. Ross. George, who received his accounting designation in Scotland in 1915, immigrated to Canada in 1920 and after practicing his profession in Toronto and western Canada, made his way to Timmins where he founded the George N. Ross, Chartered Accountant office.
Reginald H. Pope joined the firm in 1937, received his CA designation in 1948 and became a partner in 1951. The firm was then renamed Ross, Pope & Company Chartered Accountants. In January of 2009 Ross, Pope & Company acquired the status of limited liability partnership and was again renamed to Ross, Pope & Company LLP. In 2013, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario became a member of CPA Canada. As a result, the firm changed its name once again to Ross Pope LLP CPAs to coincide with the new member designation.
We have grown in pace with the economic development of Northeastern Ontario as a result of the steadily increasing demand for professional accounting and related services. In 1983, we opened an office in Kirkland Lake. As a firm owned by Northerners, and serving the North, we have continued to serve the needs of this area. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with personalized services at reasonable costs. We have remained independent by choice because it frees us from any administrative constraints inherent in large national accounting firms, and permits us the flexibility to provide that personal service.
