Our Timmins Team

Ehor graduated from the University of Windsor in 1972 with his Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He then proceeded to earn his Certified Management Accounting designation in 1975 while working at a government organization. He then joined Thorne Riddell, a predecessor of KPMG in Toronto, Ontario and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1976. With a great deal of varied experience under his belt, he returned to Northern Ontario and accepted a job with Ross, Pope & Company LLP where he became a partner in 1981. Ehor has served as a member of Council for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, numerous Institute committees and local charitable organizations. He has extensive experience with profit oriented companies, personal taxation, not-for-profit organizations, First Nations organizations and municipalities.Ehor is also the Complaints Officer pursuant to our Quality Assurance procedures.

Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies from the University of Toronto in 1975, a Masters degree in Business Administration from York University in 1978 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1981. In January of 2002, he completed the RAN ONE business consulting program. He started working for Ross, Pope & Company LLP in 1978 and became partner in 1984. Joe has served on the boards of a number of local charities, was a past president of the Cochrane District CA Association, a member of the Campaign Cabinet for the Porcupine United Way for two years, and served on the Application Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario for three years. He is presently a member of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce. Joe has also served as a hockey coach for ten years. During that time, he also served as treasurer of the Timmins Midget Hockey League. Joe has extensive experience in profit oriented companies, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities and personal taxation.

Mark, a native of Timmins, graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He then began his career at Ross, Pope & Company LLP, obtained his Chartered Accountant designation and became a partner of the Firm in 1998. Mark’s practice extends throughout the province and has grown with the success of the clients he services. These include large and small profit-oriented businesses, construction and manufacturing operations, municipalities and other public bodies and various First Nations organizations. He has acted as director of several non-profit organizations and is past President of the Cochrane District CA Association. Mark is also the Conflict of Interest Leader pursuant to our Quality Assurance procedures.

Jim, a resident of Timmins for 40 years, accepted a job with Ross, Pope & Company LLP in 1989 after graduating from Carleton University with his Bachelor of Commerce Degree. In 1993, Jim left to enter the private sector where he held controllership positions in the airline, hospitality and mining industries. He earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1999. Jim returned to Ross, Pope & Company LLP in 2002 and became a partner in 2010. Jim has extensive audit and consulting experience with profit oriented and rate regulated companies, not-for-profit organizations, aboriginal organizations and municipalities. He is presently the treasurer of the Timmins Porcupine Figure Skating Club.

Tracey, a native of Timmins, graduated with a Bachelor in Commerce Honours degree in accounting (cooperative program) in 1995 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1998. She started working at Ross, Pope & Company LLP as a cooperative student in 1993 and joined the firm as a full-time employee in September 1995. Tracey, being fully bilingual, provides auditing, accounting and taxation services to French and English clients. She has a wide variety of experience with small and medium sized businesses, not-for-profit organizations and municipalities. She is the treasurer for the Credit Counselling Services of Cochrane District board. Tracey has also served as the president and the treasurer of the Cochrane District CA Association.

Melanie, originally from North Bay, graduated from Nipissing University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting Stream) degree in 2003. She began her career at Ross, Pope & Company LLP, obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2006 and became a partner of the Firm in 2011. With her experience in audit, accounting, consultation and taxation, Melanie services a wide variety of clients, including professionals, profit-oriented businesses and non-profit organizations. Melanie is the Vice-President of the Cochrane District CA Association, a member of the Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine, and the Chamber of Commerce’s Committee of Young Professionals.
